Eating in a restaurant run by students gives me not only a pleasure to have beautiful and delicious food at such a very low price but also a great feeling by thinking that I am supporting local education. Students in colleges majoring in Hospitality or Catering need a chance to be in a real world of serving food to real costumers with all challenges they have to experience.
In The Glasshouse, you pay (evening meal) only £10 for a 3-course meal plus amuse bouche, bread, and crepes (if you wish; by ordering crepes you give them a chance to practice). Drinks and tips are not included.
The strongest point I found in this restaurant was their hospitality. Another strong point was the desserts, especially the parfait. I can say it was to die for, one of the best desserts I have ever had, and I don't say it lightly: they can compete with a Michelin star chef for this one. Divine!
Oh, we were invited by the Teacher to see the kitchen. I was so happy!
Final verdict: they did really well. We enjoyed the evening so much and we are going to return -we have made a reservation for Christmas menu.
