Nice Evening at Worsley Old Hall

Time of visit: 1 March 2014

Worsley Old Hall was built in the 16th century. After big renovations, since December 2013 it houses a country house pub run by Brunning & Price Ltd (a company runs the Wharf pub in Castlefield, Manchester). This is our first visit, and won't be the last :). We found everything -place, service, food, was great!! Loved it.

When we arrived it was still bright.

When we left.. it was dark.

My starter: Scallops with curried cauliflower puree and carrot & onion bhaji. One of impressive dishes I have eaten. The cauliflower puree was divine.

His starter: Garlic & mushroom soup.

His main: Venison rump with rabbit & prune suet pudding, sweet potato fondant and Port jus.

My main: Trio of duck. Smokey breast, confit leg, plum & ginger rillette, potato fondant, kale, candied kumquats.
