Damson, Stockport (2)

Time of visit: 23 November 2013


This is our second time dining at Damson. Again, superb!! And, it is only 4 minutes drive away.



My portions of bread, half white half brown with butter. Freshly made, 
still warm when they arrived on the table.


His starter: wood pigeon pie, mashed potato sauce, chestnuts, Madeira & thyme. 
One of the best dishes I have ever had (yes I pinched from him), 
super delicious!


My starter: tuna tartare panzanella, salt & pepper squid, Kalmata olive puree.

His main: loin of venison, fondant potato, Koffman cabbage & red wine sauce 
with single bean origin Venesualen chocolate.


My main: roasted breast of pheasant, sauerkraut, potato & roasting juice.


His dessert: Pedro Ximenez & vanilla cheesecake, macerated grapes, caramelised 
golden raisin puree, Pedro Ximenez jelly.


My dessert: white chocolate & gingerbread mousse, vanilla poached kumquats, 
blackcurrant sorbet, toffee sauce & honeycomb. Superb.
